Why is their such a focus on experience....?

In essence most voters would agree that a track record can influence one's prospections. However, what I have a problem with is fake experience. Being married to someone doesn't equate experience in the office of the Presidency. How many of us are willing to let the spouse of our lawyers, doctors, dentist, hairstylist, mechanics, etc.; do the same job?
