Anyone else ripped off by Gold's Gym, Long Beach, CA?

They raised my monthly dues without notice (automatically withdrawn from checking). They have a 10 year old address in the system even though I changed it with them when I moved...both times. Now they are refusing to cancel my membership without billing me for one more month. I have been a member for 10 years and always paid the dues, even though 5 of those years, I was physically incapable of using the facility. Now, I am 3 days late in giving the 30 day notice and they are refusing to terminate without penalty. I am not on a contract, have been month-to-month for 9 years now. I told them I was going to withdraw my authorization for direct debit with my bank...their response..."we will send you to collections". It's $26!!!!!
