Laptop and printer help?

when i had my wireless network set up the guy also set it up so my laptop along with the desktop both were connected to the printer..my printer had a mini meltdown the other day and now i can not print from the laptop...anyone know an easy way to fix this..i really don't want the geek squad to come back and charge me a fortune to do this
