Why does my Windows Media Player link album art to the wrong tracks?

I already know how to add album art to WMP, but for some reason there's about 30 tracks that are 'linked' in some way, i.e. when I add the correct artwork for one of them the other 29 automatically get that artwork. Why is this and how can I change it?
