Are we still in a war?

I'm pretty sure we were, but the whole ordeal seems quiet lately. Are we winning? Have we lost? Are things simmering down or heating up? Between the primary and britney spears and child molesters and escort services, I haven't really heard much about the war that makes ANY sense. Is this calm before the storm?
