Help me find a watch?

im 17 years old and about to graduate highschool, ill being going to colorado university at boulder next year, and my uncle offered to get me a watch as a graduation gift. I dont know much about watches so i figured i would turn to you guys for help. Im looking for a watch that looks fresh and suitable for a young adult to have without being flashy. I dont wear particularly expensive clothing so a rolex would look a little out of place if you know what i mean. My price cap is around 500 bucks give or take a bit. Can anyone reccommend me a nice watch?
