Turkey part of NATO, then are they contributing soldiers in Afghanistan?

If so how does Turkey feel about participating in another muslim nation. How is the relationship with other muslim countries and vice versa. The nations flag is a muslim symbol, so i though it was kind of ironic to be called some kind of 'holy war' by the extremist and have a big muslim nation as one of your foes.
