Is there a common fault with 02 BMW 325 jerky clutch operation?

try to pull away smoothly but gets halfway up travel then releases,worse first thing,bought frm bmw dealer with used car warranty,lost confidence in dealer long ago with other faults,what are the chances of this being covered by warranty,its not slipping or anything,65,000 miles on clock.
