Am I and my friend too old to trick-or-treat?

This has been a bad year for me so I was thinking of going trick-or-treating with my friends. I'm 22 and the others are 22, 22, 25, and 30. Admittedly, the last time I went trick-or-treating was in middle school and I stopped because of everyone telling me I was too old and that it was childish to go out. Honestly I don't want to do it for the candy, even though the sugar is a great incentive, but I'm wondering if we are just too old.
